On 29 August, we honour the defenders of Ukraine who died for our country’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Behind every name is a life, loved ones and dreams left unfulfilled. We bow our heads in their memory. We share their families’ grief and remember our responsibility to stand beside those experiencing loss.
